The London Landlord Accreditation Scheme is a project of the London Landlord Partnership (LLP). LLP is a project group of London councils and University accommodation offices encouraging joint working on private sector housing issues.

LLP’s aim is to help to improve the standard of privately rented housing in London, by working with landlords to improve their management skills and their understanding of legislation and requirements of local authorities.

Shelter

The Shelter website provides impartial advice and information for those in housing need. In addition the new Housing Act 2004 website is a useful resource bank for housing professionals working in the private rented sector; with its lowdown on all aspects of the Act, along with discussion forums exploring its practical implications.

Shelter supports the London Landlord Accreditation Scheme, along with other landlord bodies, as a means of encouraging and supporting professional-standard landlords. Professional landlords deliver quality services to tenants and their good practice reduces the kind of disputes and confusion detrimental to both parties.
