The schedule for the day and networking event will be as follows:-

 12: 30pm - 12:40pm Welcome  (Chair of LLAS/UKLAP)

 12:40pm – 13:10pm first speaker

 13:10pm - 13:40pm 2nd speaker

 13:40pm- 13:45pm (brief announcement)

 13:45pm - 14:35pm PRS Quiz

 14:35pm - 15:00pm panel Q &A

 15:00pm- 18:00pm BBQ & networking

The presentations will cover,

Immigration Act 2014, during 2015 it is widely expected that landlords across the whole country will have to comply with the new legal responsibilities in the Immigration Act 2014. This presentation will presume no immigration expertise and will explain what the legislation requires, what advice the guidance gives and what, in practical terms, you will need to do in order to comply. As the penalty can be £3,000 per adult illegal immigrant found in your property this is vital for all landlords and agents.

The word “thoroughly” has been so misused when associated with tenant checks – and by doing a confirmation of employment and tenancy is not enough.  In this audience participation presentation Marie Parris will demonstrate how and why you must drill down on the information provided by tenants on an application form and supporting documentation.  By following Marie’s SOP (standard operating procedures) you will learn how to reduce your chances of renting to a rogue tenant – the type that never has any intention of paying your rent.

Learn tips on how to vet every category of tenant.  Discover the loop holes that can be missed by most reference agencies.  Understand the procedures to put into place before and after a tenancy for a hassle free experience and much more.  No matter your level of landlord experience, Marie simplifies this process

Summer Fun & Networking is Guaranteed at the LLAS Summer BBQ Event.
