PRS Conference & Training Day

Bringing you up to date Post Pandemic & Brexit

Thursday 16 September  2021

From: 10am to 2pm

ONLINE

The idea of the conference & training day is that with this one event, you can get up to date with the law. We will have talks on most of the different regulations that landlords, agents, property investors and local authorities staff operating within the PRS should be aware of.  Our speakers will take delegates through all the legal developments over the past year, for example changes in the Courts systems, section 21 & 8 and any new developments etc..

Overall,  all participants should come away from the Conference &Training Day with a good understanding of the regulations which affect  those operating within the PRS and how these have changed over the past year and which should protect you from claims and penalties for non-compliance. Remember ignorance of the law is no longer an excuse!

On the day, we will have presentations on everything that is topical in the private rented sector (PRS) including:

  • Managing uncertainty and forecasting for PRS future in an unpredictable environment, what next For Property Prices Post Covid-19?, & How Brexit could impact the PRS sector.
  • An Overview of legislative changes that have happened over the past year as a result of the Covid19 and how it has affected landlords, agents and the PRS as a whole, for example changes in the Courts systems, section 21 & 8, and any new developments etc and a look ahead at the changes still to come within the PRS.
  • The gas regulations & the new Electricity Regulations and EICR certificates & The Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES)
  • The Debt Respite or Breathing Space Scheme

  • Is your property an HMO? A look at RRO (Rent Repayment Orders) which are often applied for by tenants where landlords have not applied for their HMO license
