The workshop will be an informative session on damp and mould in the private rented sector.
It aims to cover:
- The different types of dampness;
- The common causes and the possible solutions;
- The importance of heating, ventilation and thermal insulation;
- Law and guidance concerning damp and mould;
- The responsibilities and obligations of landlords, managers and tenants;
- Information on the energy advice service including grants available to landlords;
- Help available for landlords from the Private Sector Housing and Housing Options teams.
The session is an opportunity for landlords, managing agents and council officers to come together to discuss the challenges and opportunities for tackling damp and mould in the private rented sector. The council encourages attendees to complete the questions within the registration form that ask what they hope to gain from the event.
Tea and coffee will be provided.
