The London Landlord Accreditation Scheme (LLAS)
The London Landlord Accreditation Scheme launched in 2004 as a partnership of London boroughs, landlord organisations and educational organisations aims to recognise good practice and improve conditions in the private rented sector.
With over 13,000 landlords and 1000 agents and growing. LLAS is the biggest and most established scheme of its kind operating throughout London and in many parts of the UK.
Be the best you can be. Give your tenants the confidence to know that you are a responsible landlord accredited by LLAS - widely recognised as the scheme that sets the standard.
The benefits of joining LLAS
- Getting accredited is good for business. Tenants have the peace of mind that you are a good landlord or agent, and you can access a range of training courses and benefits.
- Training: LLAS training is delivered by an expert trainer and is competitively priced. It covers all aspects of private sector tenancy management and is widely regarded as the most comprehensive landlord training course on offer.
- No membership fees: LLAS has no membership fees or annual contracts. You can secure accreditation for five-years by taking a one-day training. After that, there are no additional costs or charges.
Stand out from the crowd: Use the LLAS or UKLAP logos when advertising your property to give prospective tenants confidence in you. You can also use the London Rental Standard badge once you’re accredited with LLAS.
Grants: LLAS accreditation can help you access local authority and regional government landlord grants to improve conditions, fund energy efficiency improvements and bring empty homes back into use. You can also gain access to local authority leasing schemes.
